The OPO and transplant program reports currently posted on this website were released in July 2012. Updated reports are not available at this time. For FAQs about the delay in the production of the transplant program reports, go here.

Organ Procurement Organization (OPO) Reporting Process Scheduled to Resume
The Scientific Registry of Transplant Recipients (SRTR) will resume the organ procurement organization (OPO) reporting process in May. The data review period for the January 2013 and July 2013 OPO reports will be June 3, 2013, through June 30, 2013. The draft reports will include only the observed data. The secure release and comment period will be August 1, 2013, through August 13, 2013. At that time, a revised OPO organ yield calculator and the expected information will be available on the SRTR secure site. The anticipated public release date of the two reports is August 20, 2013. The July 2013 reports will be presented on the main OPO reporting page, while the January 2013 reports will be immediately available in the archives. A timetable for resumption of the transplant program-specific reports has not yet been established.

January 2013 and July 2013 Cycles of Transplant Program-Specific Reports and OPO-Specific Reports Delayed
The data review period for the Program-Specific Reports (PSRs) will not begin on April 1, 2013, as typically scheduled. Since November 1, 2011, the public Death Master File data released by the National Technical Information Service on behalf of the Social Security Administration (SSA) no longer contain protected state death records, in compliance with section 205(r) of the Social Security Act. This also delayed the PSRs that were to be released in January 2013. HRSA has been working with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and SSA to gain access to those records and to address other impediments to their use by the Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network (OPTN) and Scientific Registry of Transplant Recipients (SRTR) contractors to complete tasks required by the contracts. SSA and CMS have signed an agreement to allow the transfer of the complete death information to HRSA contractors. The details of that transfer and subsequent verification are now being determined.

We hope to have this resolved by this summer; however, new dates have not been determined for the data review period, the preview report on the SRTR secure site, the public report release, and other data releases (such as the RFI); we will inform you of the new dates as soon as they are set. When reporting does resume, SRTR anticipates releasing the January 2013 and July 2013 cycles of reports simultaneously.
